Click to Enlarge What is the VBAC? In 2006, a non-political group of Village of Hamburg business and building owners came together to form the Village Business Advisory Council. The initial purpose of this group was to form a task force to address the problems and challenges that faced village businesses and the community as a whole during the road construction. With the support of various levels of government, the Chamber of Commerce, and other Village volunteer groups, the VBAC has successfully demonstrated that a united voice for the business community can make a positive impact in our village. The VBAC has adopted a constitution, by-laws and both vision and mission statements. In 2008, the VBAC was incorporated as a Limited Liability Company. In early 2009, we will achieve non-profit status. With an active board of directors, and a growing membership, the VBAC is now working hard to market this community to both prospective consumers, and prospective new businesses that will compliment our established business base. Our list of accomplishments includes: Initiating a comprehensive plan for municipal parking, multiple successful community based events, Dine in the Village evenings, unified advertising for our members, strengthened camaraderie between business owners, successfully disseminated information to the public and our membership regarding construction.
